Snorkeling
It is one of the most popular activities for Caribbean travelers. It is as easy as putting aside your cocktail on the beach and walking into the water with your snorkeling gear. Of course the cocktail is made from Caribbean rum and your gear includes a mask, a snorkel and fins. The Caribbean life.
This part of the world is happy to have many, many (often white sand) beaches and colorful coral reefs. Therefore, and it is probably needless to say, the Caribbean is full of great places to snorkel. Caribbean Journal set up a list with their favorite places for snorkeling. They have taken into account the ease of access, the number of amazing snorkeling sites and the number of high-quality excursions.

Bonaire #1
Once again Bonaire came out first as the top destination to go snorkeling! The easy access into the clear blue water and the colorful reef right at the beach make Bonaire the place-to-be. Caribbean Journal underlines the fact that Bonaire has a “spectacular marine park that runs the perimeter of the island”. As you can see in the picture above, you just walk into the water straight from the beach and the reef is right there! As soon as you mask hits the water, you will see colorful fish! The further you go into the water, the more dense the reef gets and the more fish you will see. The reef on Bonaire is even home to sea horses and frog fish you will definitely spot if you look closely. Bonaire is such a special place!
We totally agree with Caribbean Journal and couldn’t be more proud of our dushi island Bonaire. The whole island is working hard to protect and preserve the beauty of both the underwater life and above the water life. Clean ups both above and under the water are regularly organised by Selibon and Dive Friends Bonaire.
