Kralendijk – The Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association (BONHATA) is recognized by the National & Island Government and the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) as the official hotel and tourism association of Bonaire. Her mission is: “To promote, support and empower our members through cooperation with one unified voice.” In 2017, the association proudly presents her members the BONHATA membership sign as a gesture of appreciation and recognition.
From the moment the association was founded in 1980, the Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association saw the importance of cooperation and has supporting her membership high on the priority list. BONHATA is proud to see the association growing. Over the last year, the membership has grown by almost 10%. 2017 is the year that BONHATA presents membership signs to all the members.
With the signs, BONHATA spreads the message about the importance of cooperation on the island and executing this with one unified voice. Being a member of BONHATA means being part of a bigger picture, in which the association is the voice for the private sector on the island. Members of BONHATA include companies of all types that either directly or indirectly are involved in tourism.
It is BONHATA’s wish to attach value to every member visit and take the time to discuss opportunities within the membership while presenting the signs. In the last week of July, the signs were distributed and presented to the majority of the members. The week was dedicated to visiting the majority of members and providing the opportunity to catch up and talk about possibilities for the future.
On the picture you can see BONHATA Marketing Assistant Daphne Nossels presenting the membership sign to Karel Visser from Karel’s Beach Bar. He is proud to receive two membership signs for his Beach Bar and his soon-to-open Islander Hotel.
Special thanks to Macho Scooters (Tropical Travel) for kindly offering BONHATA a scooter that last week of July, and to CAC Bonaire who helped the association in professionally mounting the signs.
If you, as a business on Bonaire, are interested in becoming a member of BONHATA or want to know more about the association, please do not hesitate to contact the office via firstname.lastname@example.org or +599 717 5134.
